Meet our AMC Brand Ambassador Carey Boucher Erasmus

Cooking was always in Carey’s future; as a child she spent hours in the kitchen as the official “bowl licker” and always dreamed of becoming a chef one day.

After school she studied Food science & Nutrition at Cape Technikon, specialising in recipe and product development as well as nutrition and food communication. She went on to work in various roles in the food industry, both in SA and the UK, but spent the bulk of her time as the Home Economist for the Pick ‘n Pay Good Food Studio. In 2013 Carey broke away from the corporate world to start her own food consulting business. She now spends most of her time creating content, developing and styling recipes for various clients. Carey often collaborates with food brands on her own food blog, “Bits of Carey" and hosts pop-up dinners from time to time.

Carey describes her food style as simple, fuss free deliciousness, and is drawn to comforting salt-of-the-earth food that brings about a bit of nostalgia.
